It is an innovative new lever-drive propulsion accessory for manual wheelchairs, providing more mobility and improving physical well-being.

With NuDrive you don't need to propel your chair by gripping the wheel rims by hand; instead, you can propel yourself forwards, backwards, manoeuvre and brake, simply by pushing the levers.

Existing clinical research indicates that lever-drives shift the shoulder loading and can reduce shoulder degradation and injury. NuDrive is designed to be ultra-slim by utilising precision engineered high specification materials. The Wheel Adaptor adds virtually no width. The figures below are the width that each Drive Unit adds according to the camber of the wheels:

• A Wheel Camber of 0 degrees, gives an additional width (each) of 36mm / 1.4 inches
• A Wheel Camber of 3 degrees, gives an additional width of 15mm / 0.6 inches

The above widths are calculated with the levers pulled inwards and brakes applied for manoeuvring through narrow spaces.

The following innovative video guide takes you through 10 easy steps to fit NuDrive to a wheelchair. The easy to follow instructions also feature places to pause the video between each stage so that the instructions can be carried out. This guide can be used in conjunction with the 'NuDrive Fitting Instructions' which are provided with each product. The video guide is also available in DVD format with every NuDrive.
