This is the Electric Side Fit option of the Oxford Mermaid Bath Hoist. This has an electrically operated lifting system and which is intended to be fitted at the side of the bath rather than at one end. Price includes the electric column assembly and the Mermaid seat kit so this is a ready to go bath hoist.

The lifting-lowering action is accomplished using simple controls and an electric motor, which help to eliminate the risks associated with manual lifting. The controls include an emergency stop button as an added safety feature. The hoist is fixed to the floor using special heavy duty fixings and can be used on wooden or concrete floors. This provides a solid base for the seat and arm, which enable transfers that are safe for both the user and the carer. The arm has a failsafe locking device and the seat has a lap belt and an automatic locking mechanism so the user is kept safe from slips and falls both during the transfer and while in the bath.
