Oxford Standaid.

As its name suggests, the electrically powered Oxford Standaid is a very effective aid to help people to rise from a sitting position. The user's knees are placed against the well cushioned pad and a sling is then connected to the two lifting arms. (Slings sold separately.) Depending on the choice of sling, the Standaid will help the user to a standing position or it will assist with a seated transfer. In either case, the action is smooth, safe and controlled. The low castors and supporting frame are designed to pass under most items of furniture such as chairs, wheelchairs and beds, and it is supplied with a large handle for greater manoeuvrability. An important aspect of the Standaid is that some active participation is required on the part of the user, so it encourages swifter rehabilitation and the development of greater independence.
