These are the Medium sized version of the Steelite Plates, which are remarkably robust and very well suited for use in care homes and similar environments, as well as in the home. There extreme durability makes them suitable for continuous use and they are safe to use in both dishwashers and microwaves. Steelite plates carry a 5 year guarantee against chipping around the rim of the plate, which is specially shaped to make for easy carrying and handling. Another useful feature are the steeply angled internal rims, which provides a fixed edge that enables users to push food onto their forks or spoons. These are therefore a very useful aid to independent, one handed eating. A larger version is also available as a separate item.
