Our New Warehouse
Last updated: 21st May 2019
Most of our orders are now dispatching quickly. Due to a move to a new, larger warehouse, we know that our performance levels dropped significantly over the past few weeks. If you have been affected by this, please be assured that we have your order and we will deliver it as soon as we can. If you are affected, please accept our apologies. You can find the link to contact us and read about the new warehouse below.
We are very sorry for any disruption to orders
We are still sending out thousands of orders every day but we know our performance levels are not as high as they should be. As such, our customer services are fielding more calls and emails than they can handle at the moment so we are bringing in more staff to help speed everything up. Our orders, along with dispatch and tracking information, are now flowing at normal levels. If you were adversely affected during the disruption, we are really very sorry.

April 2019 has seen us move into a much larger warehouse in Walton Summit near Preston. Walton Summit is within the triangle of the M6, M61 and M65 so it has excellent access to the motorway network making it better for the couriers we work with.
Our warehouse in Crigglestone near Wakefield has now closed and our site in Wrea Green is due to close soon too.
We are in the final stages of moving over 300,000 items into the new warehouse and below are some quick pictures from the inside of our new premises as we asked people working there to stay out of shot. There are over 60 people working in this warehouse now.
In the picture above, we're looking down our huge new warehouse so you can get an idea of how far it goes in one direction by following the lights on the right-hand side. While we are checking-in and putting away stock from our old warehouses, we are still getting new supplies in to make sure we continue to maintain a good level of stock. You can see a container-load of new wheeled walking frames in the foreground above. If you look at the orange racking, you'll see the end of that racking in the image below.
The image above shows pallets of stock that will now be checked in and put away. On the far left, you can see the discharge doors - this is where Royal Mail and Parcelforce trailers backup several times a day and we load them up with your orders. At the far back wall of the warehouse is where our carousels stand. They feature in the picture below.
Our carousels are huge machines that are actually going above the ceiling space that you can see in the image above. There are 4 carousels already operational and 2 new ones are being assembled at the far end. We ran 4 carousels in our Crigglestone warehouse and have invested in 2 more. These machines have about 60 shelves in which we load the smaller items that we sell on a regular basis, so they can be picked quickly. You can see how pallets and boxes are being emptied and loaded into the machines. The conveyor belt sends picked orders to the dispatch area.
This is looking back into the warehouse from the conveyor belt where you see the other side of the orange racking from the first two pictures on this page. There is plenty of space to use. This is like moving house only we're moving about 500 houses at the same time!
An Apology for Disruption to Orders
We are now back to normal performance levels and now working to exceed them now that we are in a much larger warehouse. If your order is still delayed, please be assured that we have your order safe and we will process it as quick as we can. We are very sorry for any delay.
