The plastic commode pan is concealed away from view and is easy to remove with the unique lock and lift carry handle and lid for quick and safe waste disposal. My Mother is pleased with this chair which has fitted into her bedroom very well. It is a little on the low side and the basketweave material seems rather thin and flimsy but it may well be long -lasting so we will wait and see! I would have paid more for a "thicker" basketweave, (always difficult when buying on-line).

this I bought because I suffer from arthritis and get to the bathroom in the middle of the night was difficult but this commode is so great and it has the benefit of looking like a smart chair the service I received was great and the quality of the product was excellent
