These are the Large version of the Steelite Plates, which are exceptionally robust and well suited for use in care homes and similar environments, as well as in the home. There extreme durability makes them suitable for continuous use and they are safe to use in both dishwashers and microwaves. Steelite plates carry a 5 year warranty against chipping around the rim of the plate, which are specially shaped to make for easy handling. Another characteristic is the steeply angled internal wall, which provides a fixed edge that enables users to push food onto their forks or spoons. They are therefore a useful aid to independent, one handed eating. A smaller version is also available as a separate item.
