Attendant-propelled wheelchairs (sometimes referred to as a transit wheelchair) is a term used for a wheelchair that is propelled by an attendant rather than the user. It will typically have smaller rear wheels allowing the carer or family member to easily and quickly manoeuvre the wheelchair.
Attendant-propelled wheelchairs could help with moving someone with mobility issues around either inside the home or outside.
Usually any individual that has a medical condition that means they have difficulty walking and maybe also struggle to propel themselves in a manual wheelchair.
