Emma Muldoon is one of the UK’s leading disability bloggers with a mission to encourage others to travel with a wheelchair.
Her blog, Simply Emma, combines Emma’s personal stories with accessible travel guides, accommodation reviews, live event reviews, travel tips, and resources. The blog was created to encourage others, with or without a disability, to travel more and make new discoveries, whether that’s abroad or in your own home town.
As Emma has a muscle wasting condition called Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, her wheels are her legs, but that certainly hasn’t stopped her from travelling and living life the way she wants to. Through the Simply Emma blog, Emma shares her experiences living with a physical disability. To fuel her adventurous side, she also loves to discover and write about unique experiences and accessible activities.
Emma's articles have been published in magazines such as Condé Nast Traveler, Able, Cosmopolitan and Motability Lifestyle. And she’s been recognised as an outstanding individual volunteer making a change in her community by the Prime Minister’s Points of Light Award and as one of the most influential disabled people by The Shaw Trust’s Disability Power 100.
Emma lives with her partner, Allan, and two tuxedo kittens, Arlo and Willow, in a small town in Scotland. When not travelling or writing about their travels, you’ll find her planning our next adventure, rolling around enjoying the great outdoors at home, and creating memories with their nephew. She loves nothing more than relaxing with Allan on the couch with the kittens curled up in a ball on her legs watching movies and binge watching favourite TV shows.
