We are proud to sponsor the England Amputee Football Association (EAFA) for the third year in a row, supplying the team with 75 pairs of Ossenberg crutches to help make sure that they’ve got the right kit to help them play their best as they head for the World Cup tournament 2022.
The EAFA are a charity dedicated to promoting and developing amputee football. They help those with an amputation, congenital deficiency, or other limb affecting disorder the opportunity to engage with the sport, at a grassroots level all the way up to the England Amputee Elite National Squads.
Right now, they’re preparing for the World Cup. Watch the interview with manager Owen Coyle to find out a little more about how the team are getting on.
Why did we choose to give the team these crutches? One of the reasons is that they’re highly durable, meaning they’re less likely to fail the team during a critical moment in the game. The Ossenberg crutches also have a handy cuff that means that if the player lets go of the handle, the crutch won’t fall to the ground.
These lightweight crutches won’t weight the team down. They’re height adjustable, too, with multiple settings to help make sure that they can be set at the right height for each player who uses them.
The team did brilliantly at the Amp Futbol Cup in Warsaw, Poland, placing second. Next up is the FEDDF Tournament in Madrid, Spain in September, followed by the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF) World Cup in Istanbul, Turkey.
We wish the team all the luck with their matches!
