When placed in a bedroom next to the door or by the bed, this mat reacts to pressure by alerting carers using a stereo nurse call system. This function is very useful if the patient falls out of bed or if they exit their bed and begin to wander, threatening their safety.
This Deluxe Nurse Call Stereo Floor Sensor Mat is brown in colour and has a luxuriously carpeted finish, allowing it to blend into its surroundings and discouraging the patient from trying to avoid stepping onto it. An additional feature - which is patent pending and has been endorsed by healthcare professionals - is a clever 6" lead which allows other pressure mats or a patient call lead to be attached quickly and easily.
This floor sensor mat has enlarged proportions to discourage patients from attempting to step over it. In the event of pressure being detected, the nurse call system will emit both an audible and a visual alert to warn the carers that their attention is required.
