October has been balance and falls month at Complete Care Shop and for our final week we’re focussing on fall prevention in your home.
With the clocks going back and winter drawing in, it’s now getting darker earlier than before. If you have your lights on a timer, don’t forget to update the times so your lights come on when you need them as poor lighting can make it more difficult to see any hazards in your path. This could also increase your chances of falling as it makes it harder for your brain to work out where you are and so makes it more difficult to balance.*
